Ivan Marisin graduated from Moscow State University, Law faculty in 1986 (with Honours), studied Law and Economics at the University of Vienna in 1990 and European Law at the University of Frankfurt in 1993. He also completed Executive Course of Harvard Business School in 2003.
At present Ivan Marisin is a senior partner of the Russian litigation law firm Kuznetsov, Marisin and Partners (KMP) which focuses on the complex disputes in Russia and abroad.
He has represented domestic and international clients in more than 100 major litigations and arbitrations worldwide, and has acted for Russian and foreign clients on corporate, banking and foreign investment matters over the last 30 years. Mr. Marisin has also advised on numerous commercial cases involving the recognition and enforcement in Russia of foreign judgments and awards.
Ivan Marisin is an accredited arbitrator at the ICAC, LCIA, International Arbitral Center in Vienna and other leading centers for arbitration. He is listed as a top-tier dispute resolution practitioner in Russia by Chambers Global (2016), Chambers Europe (2016) and Legal 500 EMEA (2016).
