Nick Allard became the eighth dean of Brooklyn Law School on July 1, 2012. His continuing role as a partner with Patton Boggs will be focused primarily in the offices in New York City and Washington, D.C. His clients included domestic and international organizations, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He also represents nonprofit organizations and public and private universities. In addition to his experience in private practice, Mr. Allard has significant political and legislative experience
Mr. Allard is a prolific author on a broad range of issues, including more than 20 articles on Internet law, new media and privacy. He contributes to and is on the advisory board of several legal publications, including the Hastings Communication and Entertainment Law Journal and the Shidler Center’s e-journal, Journal of Law, Technology & Art, at the University of Washington School of Law. Mr. Allard taught for several years as an adjunct professor at both George Mason University Law School and the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. In 1997-2017, he was Director of Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law, Hamburg, and professor at the University of Hamburg. Prior to that, he was professor at the University of Augsburg and Free University of Berlin. He has been a visiting professor at numerous universities all over the world.
He is, inter alia, Titular Member and was Secretary General (2006- 2014) of the International Academy of Comparative Law, Member of the Advisory Board of the German Society of International Law, Member of the American Law Institute, Foreign Director of the Institute of International Law of the Sea and Maritime Law, School of Law, Shandong University, China.
He has been awarded honorary doctorate by the University of Stockholm, Leuphana University, Lüneburg, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Université Panthéon Assas – Paris II. He is Honorary professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University and Honorary Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
He pursues research on a wide-ranging set of topics relating to private international law, European private and economic law, competition law, transport law, insurance law.

She is the founder of InnoLegal Services PLLC, a modern solution provider that offers legal advice and consults on operationalizing the practice of law. She works with law departments and law firms on innovating their legal service delivery and consumption models. Lucy specializes in all things contracting: resource allocation, automation, process optimization and smart risk-taking. Lucy also serves as the Chief Legal Strategist for LawGeex, a cutting-edge AI legal tech start-up automating contract review services.
In her 13 years at Microsoft, where she ran an enterprise contracting solution, Lucy focused on complex and global outsourcing contracts and gained firsthand experience in legal outsourcing to assist her with high-volume contract transactions. She launched an innovative “managed services” engagement with law firms and actively worked on continuously improving the value received.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Lucy practiced law at Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP in Seattle, WA, focusing on commercial transactions and commercial bankruptcy. Lucy received her J.D. and BA from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, where she grew up, but has been living in the Seattle area since completing law school.

Dave (Shahar) Waiser is a serial entrepreneur who founded and built companies in US and Europe.
In early 2000, he founded Russian entity of publicly traded Comverse [NASDAQ:CMVT] and served as its first CEO with a $300M record in total sales.
In 2005 – moved to San Francisco where he spent next 5 years building his new start-up Loyalize that was successfully sold eventually. Loyalize technology had been used during the Super Bowl, Grammys and Oscars.
In 2010 – Dave founded Gett (previously GetTaxi) operating in 100 cities worldwide, including Moscow, St Petersburg, London, New York and Tel-Aviv.
Gett raised $640 million in venture funding, including $300M from Volkswagen Group and $100M from Sberbank.

Max has focused his work on the fields of strategy development, organizational effectiveness, and business as well as digital transformation. His main topic of expertise is banking (including retail and corporate banking), insurance, and investment funds, having completed more than 60 BCG project assignments in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, CIS, and Asia.
Max has developed and supported to implement long-term strategic visions for various banks and insurance companies in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. He has helped numerous funds define their investment focus and governance models, and he has advised several financial institutions on becoming more agile and establishing new digital businesses.
Before joining BCG, Max held jobs at A.T. Kearney, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, and Ernst & Young, among other firms. He is fluent in English, French, and Russian, in addition to his native German.
