Forum once again promises to serve as an unrivalled platform bringing together insolvency professionals from around the world.
Among speakers of the upcoming Forum are the leading experts and practitioners in different fields of law, Russian and foreign officials, world-known scholars and, also, heads of legal departments of global companies.
On October 5, Russian students completed their one-week internship in Strasbourg. They won the student essay competition that was organized within the framework of the VIII SPBILF with support from LF Academy educational resource and was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Russia’s ratification of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
The St. Petersburg International Legal Forum saw upwards of 4500 participants in 2018. This year’s Forum was attended by a record number of countries – 90 – from all continents.
The VIII St. Petersburg International Legal Forum hosted a discussion on evolution of succession law in Russia from two succession lines to inheritance agreements, joint wills, and estates.

Session ‘Data for Everything: in Search of Balance if Interests’ took place on the VIII St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. The participants discussed give-and-take between companies’ interests and consumers’ rights, the regulation of big data and the separation of personal data, private life and public information.
The main trends of the bankruptcy law development in Russia and abroad were discussed at the 8th St Petersburg International Legal Forum on Friday. The discussion was chaired by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the International Association of Insolvency Regulators.
On Friday, May 18, Aleksandr Konovalov, Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation and Head of the SPILF Organizing Committee, presented awards to the winners of the annual SPILF Law Students Essay Contest.
