“Moscow Virtuosi” Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1979 by an outstanding virtuoso violinist Vladimir Spivakov and a group of his friends and artistic associates, mostly winners of international music competitions, as well as soloists and section leaders of the best Moscow symphonic and chamber orchestras. Thus, the highest performance standard was set up from the very moment of the orchestra’s establishment, which justified its claim for a rather ambitious, at a first glance, name of “Moscow Virtuosi”.

Ever since the “Moscow Virtuosi” Orchestra was founded, Vladimir Spivakov, an outstanding violinist and conductor, benefactor and prominent social figure, has been its artistic director and soloist. It is because of Maestro Spivakov and his over quarter of a century work with the Orchestra, the “Moscow Virtuosi”, undoubtedly, ranks among the best chamber orchestras of the world with their own grateful audience everywhere and it is enjoying the highest reputation that has been acquired by years of persistent and creative work.

Guests will be also invited for the night tour to the Hermitage and for a cocktail.

How can your participation at the Forum bring the biggest benefits for your company, so that next year your boss sends you again?



Here are some top tips by SPILF’s team for legal firms that don’t have their own in-house marketing consultant or a PR expert:

· Gather up your colleagues and have a look together at the Forum’s business agenda – you can find it here. I don’t want to open the cultural programme that promises tons of non-business-related fun when your colleagues are near. Read it later, when you are safely at home. It’s here, by the way.

· Check the topics of the round-table discussions and chose what suits your professional interests.

· Read the info about the speakers and do some additional research, if necessary – for example, using the Internet or asking your friends.

· Now team up with your colleagues and think of some questions you’d like to ask the speaker. The better the question, the higher the chances that the speaker will want to answer it in full detail, and maybe you will even have a proper dialogue between you two later on.

· If the speaker cannot answer your question during the discussion, don’t let your efforts go to waste. You just need to find the right moment and try to talk with the speaker directly, for instance, during the coffee break or after the round table.

· Set goals. For example, make it your goal to bring home a certain number of new professional contacts after the Forum. During the business programme, promise yourself only to mingle for the benefit of the company. You can catch up with your old acquaintances later in the evening, at the Forum’s cultural programme. They will surely understand that you are doing some serious stuff here: trying to find and establish new business contacts.

· Stock up on your business cards, scrutinize them carefully. Do they have all the necessary info about your company, or it’s just some logo that says nothing about what you do? In the second case, it’s not too late to order some new ones.

· After the Forum, prepare two reports about your work – one for you, another one for your boss. Use the first one to be frank with you and write down everything that you have failed to do: for instance, to meet Mr N or Ms X and tell them about yourself. Analyse your mistakes and think how you can correct them next year. In the second report, you simply write how good and effective you are, and how useful it all has been for your company. After you’ve done it, send it to your boss.

Possibility to look at the international experience and success stories on the local market can become very valuable knowledge for the local players in the current situation.

2. What are the main issues to be brought up for consideration?

Possibility to get acquainted with approach of international and local firms that have valuable experience in defining their decision-making process and elaborated business processes, understand reasons behind decisions to grow or to keep the boutique approach, consider pros and cons of the process oriented management systems.

3. Whom could you recommend to attend your panel? (in-house attorneys, counsels, lawyers from Russian / international firms, notaries, bars, etc)

4. Would you like to distinguish any speakers who are going to give speeches at your roundtable?

Glenn S. Kolleeny is a partner in Dentons' Moscow office. Glenn concentrates on advising major foreign investors in their Russian and CIS investments with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, structured trade finance and project finance. Glenn has completed more than US$6 billion of M&A transactions in the past 5 years. His clients include financial institutions, private equity funds, international and Russian multinational corporations.

Martin Lewis is a Director and Compliance Officer for Finance & Administration and so effectively the managing director of a 12 lawyer firm. He specializes in Business law in the widest sense and with particular emphasis on propagating and preserving family money with considerable involvement with cross border matters.

Vassily Rudomino is a co-founder and Senior partner of ALRUD, head of Competition/Antitrust and Capital Markets practice areas. Vassily is an expert with profound experience in supporting global international and major national M&A transactions.
